Taten is a great eater!
Where we were in March
For us the month of March was a month of Travel and family. As you know, we started the month in Vegas for Nascar. We were glad to have Grandma and Grandpa come home with us. We enjoyed a day at the zoo.
Some of you may wonder where we enjoyed a little snow? We took a scenic drive to Albuquerque for my nieces baptism. We drove through Globe, Show Low and Holbrook on the way. Coming back we drove through Payson with a detour through the Petrified Forest. I had no idea that Arizona was so beautiful. We really enjoyed the drive and were so happy to be with family for the weekend.
Our drive home was freezing and it even snowed in Show Low. People must have thought we were strange as we were wearing shorts and flip flops in the snow. On Easter Taten and I flew to Lubbock TX to stay with my brother Derek's family.
Derek and his wife went on a vacation of a life time. I do have to admit my envy! They went to Hawaii and had a blast doing various activities. They went on a ATV ride up the mountain, on a helicopter ride over the island, and a scuba diving adventure. Their pictures were beautiful! They saw parts of Hawaii that most people don't get to see. Out of the 12 climates in the world, did you know that Hawaii has 10 of them? I enjoyed watching Derek's kids and they loved playing with Taten. Cute family huh? Only 17 year old Christain is missing from the picture. I am so thankful for my family and we really enjoyed them in the month of March. ( I almost forgot, Taten on the airplane. This is 6th time he has flown but the first time he wasn't able to clear his ears, he cried really hard for about 15 minutes. I felt so bad. But doesn't he looks so cute in his little Hawaiian outfit)Take me out to the ball game.
McKenna's 2nd Birthday
I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid" John 14:27 Mckenna was born 3 days later at only 23 weeks. We felt so blessed that Heavenly Father had given us this time to prepare for Mckenna's death, so that when she was born we could enjoy her short life. She was so small she fit in the palm of my hands, but her spirit was so big it filled our hearts. The day of McKenna's funeral we sent pink and white balloons to her at the end of the grave site service. In keeping with that tradition, we send balloons to Mckenna on every birthday......Happy Birthday Mckenna! We love you! Thank you to Mckenna's family for remembering her and celebrating her birth as well. Here is a picture of a few of Mckenna's aunts and cousins at her grave.

Daddy's Little Helper
On Saturday we had to replace the kitchen faucet. We were a little annoyed because we have not even been in our house for three years. I just expected our faucet to last longer than that. We love our hard water, what can I say. Taten was so interested in what was going on under the sink he just had to climb in and get busy with Daddy's tools. We love Taten's new stage......he is so curious!
Time to Child Proof!
A few of Taten's favorite things...Empty the cupboards, the drawers, the laundry basket and anything he can reach including the DVD's and his toy basket. He loves pulling on the curtains and the power cords, opening and closing the glass doors on the entertainment center...Thank goodness he has not learned to climb yet. He also enjoys sitting in his high chair and watching his food as he drops it to the floor. He is always going and I have to keep a close watch on him. What do you think grandma is he anything like his dad?
