Fun at the water park!

I love spending the day with my little GUY. Today we walked around the outdoor mall, It was a pretty warm day so I let Taten play on the splash pad, he loves playing with the other little kids and follows them around to each fountain as they shoot from the ground. One little boy was pretty excited and came running toward Taten, he was a good head taller than Taten and I don't think he saw him. Taten was hit hard enough that he turned a complete circle before landing flat on his face, then there was blood. I gave Taten some ice to suck on and this soothed much of his pain. I just hope he didn't bump his teeth loose again. When Taten was 9 months old he fell and hit his teeth, the dentist threatened pulling them if they did not firm up. I couldn't imagine Taten without his cute little smile.

Cougar! The next Generation.

Its foot ball season and I have become a single wife. Dave loves! loves! BYU Football. So much that we had to get Direct TV. When the techs came out to install it they explained they would need to drill a hole in the exterior wall and run a cable along my floor board. In my bed room the cable goes up over my door. Talk about very tacky and a dangerous temptation for Taten.

I asked Dave if he was sure we needed to have Direct. He replied "We HAVE to". So $80 a month and a 2 year contract later. . . So far only 2 of the 5 BYU games has even been on the Mountain and I have 2 years to enjoy the cable over my bedroom door.

An average football game is only 3 hours long, but for Dave it is an all day event. There is the pre game and post game shows, not to mention cougar board until 1:00 AM. Most Saturdays when I walk into our room I find Dave listening to KSL, reading cougar board and watching a game on TV, (the ultimate multitask er)

Dave is getting Taten in the action too. He brought Taten home a football and plays ball with Taten almost everyday. Taten likes to go in our closet and try on Dave's hats on a regular basis too. Dave is sure we have a future Cougar star on our hands. Rise and shout the Cougars are out!

My Little Climber!

Like father like son. Taten is a climber just like his dad. Before we had kids I dreamt of having a little Dave. I fell in love with the idea when I saw pictures of Dave's childhood, one in particular that I remember Dave is sitting in the sink brushing his teeth, he couldn't be more than 10 months old. Dave's mom said she just found him there.
Taten loves to climb, I dread the day he learns to climb up the drawers, but as you can see he has no problem crawling up the back of his stroller. This he does almost every day.

Doggy Poo and Toilet Paper Stew

My sad attempt at being creative. Cookies that look like Doggy poo. A couple of weeks ago I signed up to bring cookies to our ward activity. FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT (which by the way was a lot of fun) I figured everyone would be making chocolate chip cookies and I wanted to do something different. And this is what I came up with. While I was baking my cookies Taten was happily playing in the cupboards with the pots and pans, he found something useful and then wandered off. A few minutes later I found him in my bathroom making a little concoction of his own. He had unrolled the entire roll of toilet paper and was stirring it in the toilet with the BBQ Spatula. I wish I would have taken a picture but I was in to big of a hurry to shew Taten out of my room.

Taten is all grown up now, and I'm not ready.

This is where I found Taten today. He was sitting at the computer and acting like he knew exactly what he was doing. He logged on to the Internet and opened several other windows. I shouldn't really be surprised because Taten loves to sit on Dave's lap while he reads Cougar Board and watches game highlights. And man o' man was Taten mad when I took him away from the computer. Yesterday Taten was a baby and today he is a little boy. We were folding the laundry today and he took his pajama bottoms and tried to put them on. He succeeded in getting one leg through and then pulled them up, I thought to my self, "No I'm not ready for you not to be a baby".
At Chick Fillet the other day he was dipping his own fries and chicken nuggets. Fries in ketchup and chicken in ranch. Smart little kid. I have also been taking Taten to the nursery for the last couple of weeks, its a lot better than sitting in the hall, and our awesome nursery leaders don't mind. Taten joins right in with the other kids playing and sits up to the table for snack time. Next thing I know he'll be going to preschool and then kindergarten. Like I said I'm not ready for him to grow up just yet.
