You really have to watch them. I sat down this morning to print 3 words off the computer... "Happy Fathers Day".
I am working on fathers day cards! I sat
Taten down by me in our bedroom with my container of stamping supplies. I thought to myself "is that really the best thing to let
Taten play with?" The stamps were not the problem.
Taten quickly lost interest and went crawling down the hall. I was planning to check on him in a second...I just needed to change the color of the font on the computer. I didn't even print the three little words as the card stock was sitting on the table out front...Where I found
Taten sitting with an open container of chocolate ice cream that we finished last night. He had retrieved the closed container from the laundry room trash, taken it across the kitchen and to the far side of the dining room table,(on the carpet I just had cleaned 2 weeks ago). He had the lid removed and was consuming the remaining runny content. He was not only covered head to toe in chocolate but was surrounded by little chocolate hand prints. My first
instinct was to take the sticky container away instead of moving
Taten.
Taten followed me with his sticky little hands and legs to the
kitchen trailing the chocolate across the room. Before cleaning
Taten, I decided to run to my room for a
camera to
capture the moment. He looks a little guilty here, but I
assure you he felt no shame.

That is cute! I laughed out loud . . . . that is why you can't clean your carpets. The week after I had mine cleaned Austin peed in 2 different places. Those little turkey's. Thanks for sharing!
Kids are quick to create a disaster! I don't like it when Brooklyn is quiet. I've learned to go look for her, but I'm like you and I'm usually too late. Even though it doesn't seem like they were gone that long.
Taten does look really guilty in that picture. It's so cute! I'm sure you didn't enjoy cleaning up all that chocolate.
That is so funny, I had so many moments like that with my kids but didn't have the sense to document. Such a cutie! We should definitely invite Shelly and Andy. I don't think we've seen them in 5 years literally. So I'd love to see them. We can come closer to you guys since you both live out there. Maybe Mesa, there are a few spots out there that would be fun. I'll call my sister who lives out there for ideas. The fourth weekend would work fine. Do you have Shelly and Andy's phone number?
Oh man... I would have been hysterical.
makes for a good picture, no?
