Locked Out!

Picture staged for purpose of the story-i of course didn't have my camera when Taten locked me out. I have been trying to get my house ready to put on the market. There were a few places on the outside of the house that needed some touch up paint. I dipped my paint brush and walked out the front door (it was about 8:00am) I just needed to test the paint color to make sure it matched. I walked out the door, leaving Taten inside to watch TV. As soon as the door was closed I heard a click and turned around to see Taten smiling and looking out the window. I tested the door. I was locked out. I couldn't believe Taten had locked me out. (was he even tall enough to reach the lock?)I began ringing and knocking on the door. "Taten let mommy in, please unlock the door". Taten thought this was pretty funny. I knocked on my neighbors door for help. My 3 year old neighbor came over to see if he could get Taten to open up. Meanwhile I placed a call to my husband who works 30 minutes away. After about 20 minutes Taten unlocked the door and let me in. There was a small bucket by the door that Taten had to stand on in order to reach the lock. I immediately called Dave so he wouldn't have to come all the way home.

Uh, scary, just slightly!! I'm so glad he unlocked it. He is so smart, that little bug! Cute picture too ;)
I'm so scared that I'm going to to that someday.

Taten has gotten so big! Wow, he's a little trouble maker isn't he? :) Love the picture! I once locked my baby in the car with my keys inside and Marty had to drive 30 minutes to help us. It's a horrible feeling.
Also, congrats on the move to Pennyslvania. I'm sad because you probably won't be back in Utah as often. I hope I get to still see you occasionally though. At least we have blogs to keep in touch! Good luck with everything!

Too, too smart. I can totally see him doing that. Glad that you made it back in okay. I love the house you found. Hopefully it will work out for you. Keep us posted.

Now that it's all over -- that's really funny! Taten has so much personality!
