Perfectly Put Together- Creative Homemaking 1984

Here it is the second installment of useful tidbits from 1984. Perfectly Put together: Are you a picture or a puzzle?

Are you perfectly put together or positively puzzling? In the picture is one piece missing-another place apart, another with nowhere to fit? Take some time out of your day, your life, to put the pieces together. Find the colors and shapes and features that go together, and place them in the pictures that they may fit perfectly and design a more beautiful you. Be perfectly put together from A to Z.

Take a loving survey of yourself. See yourself as others do. Try a "perfectly put together" quiz:

1. Am I as neat and clean as I can be?

2. Is my underwear clean and in good repair?

3. Do I bathe daily and use deoderant?

4. Is my hair clean and cared for?

5. Is my makeup in good taste, natural-looking, not exaggerated?

6. Does the style and fit of my clothes enhance my appearance?

7. Am I dressed appropriately for the occation?

8. Do my accessories compliment, or distract?

9. Is my posture erect?

10. Is my weight appropriate for my height?
B-Body Type: Make the most of your shape by dressing in fashions that flatter your figure. Focal points can be used to draw attention away from figure faults.
If you are short: keep details small, soft fluid fabrics and unbroken lines are most flattering
If you are tall: choose shoft full skirts, they add grace; Straight skirts exaggerate height. Wear wide exciting belts, take advantage of textured fabrics.
If you are thin: Choose soft silhouettes and fabrics, large prints and bulky materials, ruffles, pleats give depth to the figure. Avoid chunky shoes; they may appear to heavy for thin legs.
If you are heavy: choose clothes that give illusion of height: lines should be vertical, nothing should be tight, keep prints and patterns muted, avoid large, contrasting prints or very tiny designs.
***The tips go on and on A-Z. Are you perfectly put together? Or is this image thing to much to live up to?

Ha! I know you're not making fun, but the underwear part is great! Actually, I needed some fashion tips. I keep wearing the wrong prints and styles for my figure! Sweet!! And considering that the 80's are coming back in style those rules still apply (Again, my Mom must have totally read this book!)
